In the fall of 1999, municipalities throughout
the world worried and wondered what exactly would
happen when the clock struck midnight on January
1, 2000. The City of Chicago realized that
if power is lost throughout the city, Chicagoans
will lose electricity, heat, etc.Chicago could
be shut down. The only way to insure that they continued
to provide basic city services and warming shelters
to its citizens was to install temporary generators.
The City of Chicago decided that the installation
of 22 generators throughout the city was necessary
to keep the city that works working.
The City of Chicago called upon Harza Engineering
who called Windy City Electric. |
